Hued Songs is a performance series that celebrates & explores black culture through black music, black artists, and black history. Born from the generous support of the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation as part of its 2017 Knight Arts Challenge, Hued Songs has continued to grow our reach and capacity, with interdisciplinary performances throughout all of South Florida including the Norton Museum of Art, Little Haiti Cultural Center, ArtServe, and the Overtown Performing Arts Center.  Through our work, we seek to amplify black narratives through music and to be a conduit for accessible arts across a multi-cultural platform.

Goals of hued songs

  • To be an stimulus for artists of colors, while providing a diverse platform

  • Community building & educating through the arts

  • Using black music to amplify black stories
